So, this was a strange bit of serendipity I couldn't help but chuckle about. I'm editing one of the last chapters of the Homecoming audiobook, and there's this line by the killer which says: "One of [their] favorite recent songs came on. They had to dance through it to the end."
When writing that bit, I intentionally left it nebulous because I didn't want to specifically pin down any one song like "oh this is the killer's favorite song that they delayed the explosion for." That seemed rude, even if the artist never heard about me.
Needless to say, I was curious to see what "recent" song might have been big at the time of the dance, which was October 19, 2013 ... I absolutely could not believe it.

So, that wasn't planned, like at all. But for those who've read the story, you know how well that actually fits. 2013 was such a great year for music. Just absentmindedly listening to the lyrics of "Royals" by Lorde would fit so well in a movie or series adaptation of "Homecoming" for that scene, should I be so lucky.
Anyway, I just wanted to point out that strange coincidence. Not officially saying that's the song the killer held things up for, but it would certainly fit as one of the songs at the dance regardless. So, I've added it to the playlist.
For those of you who haven't checked out the Inspiration Music playlists, please do! They make for a great soundtrack for each book: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlcIKh6sBtc&list=PL9XBNmad33AdOd7ua3LNOCJ5SGbZBOlk6&index=31
